LON KEY

Each LON-KEY-

◊

control module can support up to 40 network variables (NVs). The Frontier Gateway can

support up to three control modules for 120 NVs. As the application expands, control modules can be ﬁeld-installed
to meet the demand.

SERIAL KEY

Only one SERIAL KEY can be installed in a single Gateway. Each SERIAL KEY can support 150 I/O.

INSTALLING A CONTROL MODULE

1. Position the control modules so that the back two-

row pins are correctly aligned with the two-row
socket on the Gateway. Do not push into the socket
at this time.

2. Rotate the control module so that the front single-

row pins are aligned with the Gateway single-row
socket.

3. Insure that all front and back row pins are aligned

with the Gateway sockets and that no pins are out-
side the sockets.

4. With a thumb in the center of the control module,

apply slight pressure to seat the control module
into the Gateway sockets.

5. As a ﬁnal check, visually recheck control module’s

pins and seating. Use module and existing installed
control module as a reference, if available.
