Serial Key Interface Module

is the Interface between the user’s device and the Gateway. Refer to Table 7 for

key types.

Local Processor

is the main Frontier Gateway control unit. This processor handles all data to and from the RF

transceiver radio. The local processor communicates directly with the LonWorks control module.

RF Radio Transceiver

is the RF radio that transmits and receives data to/from the Frontier ﬁeld devices.

Receive, Transmit,

and

Status LEDs

indicate the Gateway’s activity on the user’s network.
