To access the "Change SNVT Type" screen, click the "Change" button in the NVI or NVO screens.
The Frontier Gateway supports changeable SNVT types. Not all types are acceptable. Only those SNVT types
shown in the "Select SNVT Type" window are supported by the Frontier Gateway. Refer to Table 1 for a listing of the
supported SNVT types. With the exception of the SNVT switch, no structured-type SNVTs are supported. SNVTs
with a byte length of one to four bytes are used (character, integer, and float). In addition, SNVT formatting must be
considered. Most SNVTs have only one format type and, if so, it will be loaded automatically. Others may have two
or more selections. On SNVTs with multiple format listings, if no format selection is made, a default format will au-
tomatically be used (typically the second format in list). However, it is advisable to select the format required when
multiple formats are listed.
Select SNVT Type:
This is a list window (Figure 19) with scroll bars. The current active SNVT remains highlighted
until a selection has been made. To change the SNVT type, click the scroll buttons until the desired SNVT name is
displayed. Click the SNVT name to select it. The selected SNVT type is not active at this time so reselecting another
SNVT type is acceptable. Notice that the "Select SNVT Format" window changes to match the selected SNVT type.
