The Frontier Plug-in must be registered in the Windows
registry on the user’s computer before it can be used.
Use the following steps to register the plug-in:
1. Access the directory where the plug-in is located. The
Kele Frontier Plug-in Setup Program default path is
C:\Program Files\Frontier Plug-in\Frontier_Gateway_
XX.exe. The "XX" is the revision number.
2. The panel shown at right will be displayed.
3. Click on "Register Plug-in."
4. A confirmation window will pop up momentarily to
confirm registration.
5. The Frontier Plug-in will automatically install the next
time the LNS or compatible network tool is started.
REGISTERING THE FRONTIER PLUG-IN
If the Frontier Plug-in is no longer needed on the installed computer, it is very important to de-register the plug-in
from the Windows registry before removing the file from the computer. If this is not done, a warning message may be
displayed each time the network management tool is started. When de-registering the Frontier Plug-in, the user can
choose from three de-registration modes using the drop-down menu under the "Deregister Plug-in" button:
1. Minimal Mode. Removes the entries for the plug-in from the Windows registry and de-registers the automa-
tion server.
2.
Complete Mode.
Does everything a Minimal Mode de-registration does, and removes plug-in registration
data from all network databases including global database.
3. Exhaustive Mode. Does everything a Complete Mode does, and removes all device templates that this plug-
in uses from all network databases.
To de-register the Frontier Plug-in:
1. Access the program, and choose a de-registration mode as described above.
2. Click on "Deregister Plug-in."
3. A confirmation window will pop-up momentarily to confirm de-registration.
