TROUBLE-SHOOTING CHART
Boiler Status Malfunction Probable cause Solution
Boiler shutdown,
message flashing:
Burner does not ignite
Gas supply failure
Check gas pressure.
Check gas supply tap or
gas network safety valve
intervention.
Gas valve disconnected Reconnect it.
Gas valve faulty Replace it.
Board faulty Replace it.
Burner does not ignite: no
spark
Spark electrode faulty Replace the electrode.
Ignition transformer faulty
Replace ignition
transformer.
Electronic board does not
switch on - faulty
Replace the board.
Burner ignites for a few
seconds and goes off
Electronic board does not
detect flame: phase and
neutral inverted
Verify correct neutral
and phase connection
sequence.
Detection electrode cable
interrupted
Reconnect or replace
the cable.
Flame detection electrode
faulty
Replace the electrode.
Electronic board does not
detect flame: it is faulty
Replace the board.
Ignition heat input setting
too low
Increase the setting.
Minimum heat input not set
correctly
Check burner setting.
Boiler shutdown,
message flashing:
Double flow probe control
intervention
CH water does not flow in
the system: pipes might be
clogged, thermostatic
valves might have shut,
system stopcocks might be
closed
Check system status.
Circulation pump blocked
or faulty
Check the circulation
pump.
One of the two flow probes
is faulty
Check flow probes.
Boiler shutdown,
message flashing:
No consent from flue gas
thermostat
Air intake or flue gas
discharge flow not correct
Check air intake/flue gas
vent ducts: clean or
replace if necessary.
Flue gas thermostat faulty
Check the flue gas
thermostat: if it is faulty,
replace it.
Combustion fan not
working properly
Check the fan.
PCB faulty Replace the PCB.
