You can set the quality of the other party’s image on the display and of your image to be sent.

Video-phone Moving image quality Select an image quality

Select “Visual preference” of “V-phone settings” by pressing ( ) during a video-phone call. The setting here is effective
only for the current video-phone call.

Video-phone Camera image sending ON or OFF
p If you select “OFF”, the substitutive image is sent to the other party.
LCD AI You can set whether to automatically adjust the brightness of the display light and compensate the
image quality according to the brightness.
ON or OFF
p The setting here is valid until the call ends. The setting at starting a video-phone call follows that of
“LCD AI” (See page 128).
Photo light You can set Photo Light to light for when sending the image through the outside camera to the other
party.
ON or OFF
Call time disp. You can select whether to display the call duration during a video-phone call. (See page 378)
Screen size You can select how to display the image on the main display. (See page 94)

Inside camera
You can switch the cameras. (See page 86)
CHG to phone call You can switch the current video-phone call to the voice call. (See page 83)
Send DTMF tone/
DTMF tone OFF
During a Chara-den call, you can switch to the DTMF transmission mode that enables you to enter the
data from the numeric keys and to send DTMF (touch-tone signals). You can set it only during a
Chara-den call.
p “Send DTMF tone” is displayed when the mode is not the DTMF transmission mode and “DTMF tone
OFF” is displayed in the DTMF transmission mode.

You can operate this only during a Chara-den call.
p In the DTMF transmission mode, you cannot operate a Chara-den image in the Whole Action and
Parts Action mode.
p The DTMF tone may not be received depending on the device of a receiving end.
Own number You can display your phone number (own number).

“Prefer motion” is effective for moving images. When there is little motion, the quality becomes better if you set to “Fine mode”.
p If the radio wave conditions weaken during a video-phone call, the image may appear like a mosaic.
