Quick silent
The following are the keys you can press to stop the ring tone or vibrator:
When “Open phone” is set to “Keep ringing”, you can open the FOMA phone to stop the ring tone or vibrator. Even if you stop it, the
other party hears the beep.
p After you stop the ring tone or vibrator by the key operation above, you can press , , or (for video-phone call) to
start talking.

You can start talking by pressing a key as shown below:

While “ ” appears, you cannot start talking or stop the ring tone or vibrator.
You can set response for when opening FOMA phone or switching to Normal style or Switch style during
ringing with the FOMA phone closed or in Viewer style.

While “Manner mode” is activated, “Any key answer” works even if “Quick silent” has been set.
p Even when “Any key answer” or “Quick silent” has been set, the display light switches on/off if you press and hold for at least
one second; “Any key answer” or “Quick silent” does not work.
p When “Side keys guard” is set to “ON”, “Any key answer” or “Quick silent” does not work by pressing , , , and with the
FOMA phone closed.

While the Flat-plug Earphone/Microphone Set with Switch (option) is connected, you can press the switch to start talking, regardless of
“Answer setting”. (See page 381)
For video-phone calls, the substitutive image is sent to the other party.
p If you have set “Open phone” to “Answer”, you can answer voice calls or video-phone calls by opening the FOMA phone regardless of
“Answer setting”.
