The digital TV enables you to use the data broadcasting
in addition to the video and audio service. Various
information including still/moving images is available
from the site linked with TV programs.

Digital TV Viewer display (Video mode)
“ ” appears and Video Mode switches
to Data Broadcasting Mode.
p Each time you press , Video
Mode and Data Broadcasting Mode are
switched.

You can switch between Video Mode
and Data Broadcasting Mode also by
selecting “Switch TV/data BC” from the
Function menu of the Digital TV Viewer
display.
p Audio from the digital TV is played back
even during Data Broadcasting Mode.
p You can switch the data broadcasting
display between half screen and full
screen by selecting “Full/Separate disp”
from the Function menu of the Digital
TV Viewer display.

A confirmation display appears asking whether to connect to
i-mode depending on the data broadcasting and data broadcasting
site. Select “YES”.

You can use the highlighted information in the data
broadcasting site to easily use the functions such as
making calls, or sending mail. Select an item (link) and
press
to use each function.

You cannot display the data broadcasting in the horizontal screen.
p When eight individual storage areas have been already used in the
broadcasting storage area and another broadcasting station tries to
write into the individual storage area, a confirmation display appears
asking whether to delete the saved item to save the new one.
Select “YES” to show the display for selecting the item to be deleted.
Select the item and select “YES”; then you can save the new item.
p
When you connect to an i-mode site from the data broadcasting or data
broadcasting site, the i-mode site appears in full screen, and video and
audio of the digital TV are not displayed/played back.
p
Audio might be played back depending on the data broadcasting and
data broadcasting site. In that case, audio from the TV broadcasting is
suspended, and audio from the data broadcasting is played back taking
priority.
p While the data broadcasting or data broadcasting site is displayed, a
confirmation display might appear asking whether to send the content
you entered on the site or whether to permit downloading mobile phone
information. Select “YES” to send or to permit.
Using Highlighted Information for
Various Operations
You can register the site or memo information to the
TVlink List depending on the data broadcasting and data
broadcasting site. When the data has been registered to
the TVlink List, you can directly display the target site or
memo information.
When you select the item (link) that can be registered to
the TVlink List, a confirmation display appears asking
whether to register the item (link) to the TVlink List.
You can register up to 50 TV links.

p Depending on the data broadcasting or data broadcasting site, the
function of composing i-mode mail or storing the Phonebook entries
might automatically launch. From the display asking whether to use the
function, select “YES”; then each function will be available.

The number of characters that can be registered per URL is up to 60
half-pitch characters. When the number of characters used for the URL
exceeds that, you cannot register it.
p You can register a title of up to 20 full-pitch or 40 half-pitch characters.
When the number of characters exceeds that, the excess is deleted.
When the title is not found, the URL is displayed in the List display.
p When registering to the TVlink List, the content you entered in the site
is not registered.
p When the maximum number of URLs has already been registered to
the TVlink List, the confirmation display appears asking whether to
register, after deleting. Select “YES” and delete unnecessary URLs and
then register.
