You can use your personal computer for saving music CDs on the miniSD memory card, and play them
back on your FOMA phone.
When you use the miniSD memory card, you need to have it separately.
When you do not have the miniSD memory card, you can buy it in electric whole seller shops.
For cautions on using the miniSD memory card, see page 354.

The music files saved on the miniSD memory card can be used for personal purposes only.
p
Be careful that you do not infringe on the intellectual property rights of a third party such as copyright and other rights.
p Do not copy or move music files saved on the miniSD memory card to other mediums such as personal computers.
p The FOMA P901iTV supports up to 512 Mbytes of the miniSD memory card.

Convert the music files on your CD into AAC format using commercial software, and
save them on your personal computer.
p For details on using the software, browse to the web pages published by respective firms that provide the software.

Insert the miniSD memory card into your personal computer, and copy music files.

With the miniSD memory card inserted into your FOMA phone,

motion miniSD PRLxxx Display the File List, select a music file,
and play the i-motion movie (music files included).

p After you insert the miniSD memory card into your FOMA phone, you can change the folder name “PRLxxx” or the file name of
the music to the artist name or music title.

To copy music files to the miniSD memory card using a personal computer
1. Change the file name created in step 1 to “MOLxxx.3gp”.
(“xxx” denotes half-pitch numerals as in 0 through 9 and hexadecimal number as in 001 through FFF using half-pitch
alphabet such as in A through F.)

Example: When the file takes the name of “

.3gp” (Change the extension to “.3gp”.)
↓
“MOLxxx.3gp” (Change the file name to “MOLxxx”.)
p When you change the file name, have the extension displayed on your personal computer and then proceed.
2. Copy the music file to the “PRLxxx” folder under the “SD_VIDEO” folder inside the miniSD memory card.
p When the “SD-VIDEO” folder is not found inside the miniSD memory card, create the “SD-VIDEO” folder on your personal
computer, create the “PRLxxx” folder under it, and then copy the music file to the “PRLxxx” folder.

p To listen to music with the earphone only, set “Earphone” of “External option” to “Earphone”.
p
Playing stops in the following cases:

When a voice call/video-phone call comes in
・
When mail arrives with “Receiving display” set to “Alarm preferred”
・
When an alarm plays for “Alarm”, “Schedule”, and “ToDo” with “Alarm setting” set to “Alarm preferred”
p You cannot do consecutive play or repeating play.
p You might not be able to play music files on your FOMA phone depending on the commercial software you use.
