NOTE
e
If the FOMA terminal is out of service area when the
automatic download of a program is started, or the
communication is discontinued during program down-
loading, the data will be automatically downloaded
after three minutes (the terminal will repeat this maxi-
mum of five times).
e
Ring tone/vibration does not notify you when the
FOMA terminal starts/completes downloads. The
incoming call lamp does not light/flash either.
e
You can save one program at a time. When the
FOMA terminal downloads a new program, the previ-
ous program is deleted and you cannot play the pro-
gram anymore.
e
You cannot copy or move a downloaded program to
Data box.
e
You cannot save a downloaded program on any exter-
nal memory.
e
The downloaded program cannot be deleted.
e
Downloading the programs may take long and charge
the battery enough to use the terminal in good radio
wave condition.
e
The reasons the download fails are as follows: “Out of
range”, “The power is off”, “The battery is low”, “Man-
ually interrupted during download”, “Some combina-
tions of Multitask or multi access”, etc. If the
download fails due to one of these, it will be
attempted again next night.
e You cannot retrieve a program whose playback limit is
expired. Such a program cannot be renewed until the
next distribution date.

If you insert another FOMA card (UIM) than the one
you used when you set a program, the FOMA termi-
nal cannot download the program automatically. Set
the program again from the Music Channel screen.
e If you insert the FOMA card (UIM) of the FOMA termi-
nal that you have already set a program into another
Music-Channel-compatible FOMA terminal, the FOMA
terminal cannot download the program automatically.
Select “Set program” again from the Music Channel
screen to automatically renew the program entry on
the FOMA terminal and download the program auto-
matically.

NOTE
e The “Music Channel Update Failed” desktop icon dis-
appears when the “Music Channel” screen is dis-
played again. Even though the desktop icon
disappears, you can download manually if there is
program data which you failed to obtain.
e
If a program download is cancelled, the part of the
program that has been downloaded before cancelled
is saved. The download of the rest of the program can
be resumed manually except for certain hours.
e You cannot retrieve a program whose playback limit is
expired twice. Such a program cannot be renewed
until the next distribution date.
e
You may not download a program manually depend-
ing on the time you access the i-mode Center.
NOTE
e
If the attached stereo earphone (sample) is connected
to the FOMA terminal, the sound comes out only from
the earphone regardless of the “Earphone” setting.
e If you select a program that you end the playback
halfway last time, the program starts from the begin-
ning of the chapter that was playing when you end the
playback last time.
e
The program keeps playing if you fold the FOMA ter-
minal during playback. The image display shows
information about the program being played.

Some program are restricted to be played. “ ”
appears at the beginning of the title for the program
with restrictions on the play count, period or time limit.
The program restricted on the playback period cannot
be played before or after the period.

If you select a program partially retrieved, a message
appears asking whether to start downloading the rest
of the program or to start playing the part already
downloaded.
e
