Clean the outer part and the fins of the tube bundle from oil deposits using grease and then dry
with compressed air (max 2 bar).

Replace the tube bundle in the housing (take care of the fins during the bundle placing in the
casing). Properly position the O-ring into the housing at the base of the casing.
9. Reposition the gasket (3) and the o-ring (4).
10. Reposition the gasket and the rear cap (2).
11. Reposition the inlet pipes (6) and screw the clamps.
12. Verify for any leaks after tightening.
Clean the fuel exchanger
1. Stop the engine and close the sea water circuit valve.
2. Drain the sea water circuit by unscrewing the anodes, see above.
3. Remove the exchanger pipes and covers.
4. Clean inside the tubes with a cleaning brush and rinse with water.
5. Reposition the lateral caps (take care to gaskets).
6. Check for any leaks.
Lubricate or grease the joints, bearings and gears.
Grease the starter pinion.
The pinion of the starter must be greased with grease for gears. During engine operation grease is
expelled from the pinion, we suggest that you grease the pinion periodically.
1. Unscrew the mounting screws and disconnect the electrical connections of the starter.
