HPE engine gearbox version, verify the transmission oil level
Technodrive® gearbox version (ex.TM880)

1) Run the engine idle, with gearbox in neutral.
2) Switch off the engine after 2-3 min .
3) Check that the gearbox oil level stays between the MIN and the MAX markings of the oil dipstick
(see figure).
4) Top up when necessary ;do not exceed the MAX mark.
TO REFILL THE OIL
1) Remove the threaded level dipstick
2) Refill with oil SAE 20W-40 or 15W-
40 (refer to the manufacturer’s manuals) up to the MAX
reference mark.
3) Start the engine at idle speed of rotation without engaging the gear for other 2 minutes.
4)
Turn off and check the level again.
Be careful when working on the gearbox or on the transmission system. Take the right protections
and avoid the rotation of the motion transmission shaft.
ATTENTION! Transmission oil level will fluctuate during the engine operation. Oil level should be checked
with the engine cold, before starting.
Keep the oil level close to the FULL line on the tank during operation. If you see traces of water or the
liquid is dirty or with different color contact the nearest service center.
