The Intercom system
The intercom is a 12v system, it gets the 12v from the control box at the tank. There is a volume
adjustment at each end of the system. The amp at the tank sends the sound to the handset. The
amp in the handset send the sound to the tank.
To adjust the volume, open the case
and adjust the red dial seen here
The intercom is wired to LAN cable with RJ45 pugs, a
separate cable must be used for the intercom, it must
not go through any other units/routers etc. The LAN
cable pairs are wired together
The mic at the tank is connected via a clear tube.
To use the intercom, lift the handset, when lifted you can hear the customer in the tank, press the
talk button to talk. When pressing the talk button you will not be able to hear the client, the sound
goes one way at a time. This is because feedback in the tank is very bad and having a press to
talk system eliminates feedback issues.
