Floataway Installation Manual 230v 50Hz Tranquility 2017 - v3
The Remote Control
The remote control can and should be tested connected directly to the control box before
connection to the installed LAN cable.
The wiring for the LAN cable and any connectors used must be pin for pin, never the mirrored/
cross over type.
There is also a separate quick guide document on the operation of the remote
WARNING
Reversing the wires will (unlike a normal LAN cable)
cause permanent damage to the controller and remote
circuits! We strongly recommend that the installed LAN
cable with its connectors is tested with a appropriate
LAN tester before connection of our equipment.
The LAN cable connection is inside the control box on the
mother board as shown in this photo.
After testing, and with the power off, disconnect the remote
control LAN RJ45 plug from the control box and install the
remote box at its final position.
Connect the remote to the previously installed LAN cable. This may be either by male to female
RJ45, or by male to male with a double ended female RJ45, or even by hard wired LAN junction
box. The control box connection does require a cable mounted male RJ45 plug to be plugged in
to the socket from where the remote was disconnected.
The remote control also has a socket for sound.
