Setting a Delayed MIDI Start Time
Synchronized MIDI to an audio file can be critical. When files created in MIDI sequencers and other devices are
imported into the Liquid Tracks, variations in initial data could impose slight timing imperfections. To compensate for
such variances in recorded MIDI data, a delay maybe required in the Liquid Tracks.
In any MIDI sequence recorded within the Liquid Tracks, a delay should be shut off in almost all cases. External MIDI
files not generated within the Liquid Tracks should work as-‐is. If they are out of sync, then typically the MIDI files will
be “ahead” of the playing audio. A delay setting of 762 should be the first trial delay period. HINT: go CCW with the
rotary dial to get 762 faster. The delay range is from 0-‐765ms.
or
if you have selected Midi Delay, then the next parameter will ask you for the delay time. For MIDI sequences generated
within the Liquid Tracks, this typically should be 000, and the Start Delay parameter should be “No Delay”. For external
MIDI files, try using No Delay first. If that generates a MIDI playback ahead of the audio, then set an initial delay of
762ms. You can go down from there.
