during playback to stop the performance. Files stored in the MIDI directory are the only files that can be
played via this option.
It will ask if you want to rescan your MIDI file directory. If you added or modified files in the MIDI directory, then tell it
to ReScan so it will process all the midi files. Then select the file you want to play, press
[SELECT]
and the file will begin
playing.
Recording a MIDI TYPE-‐0 File
While its most useful to record a midi file synchronized within a preset (see MIDI CREATE in Preset Edit), there maybe
times you need to create a midi performance (NOT A SYSEX DUMP) based on a live performance and rig setup. Use this
feature to select the MIDI file and then it will start recording the file. The file generated on your media card in the MIDI
directory will be a full TYPE-‐0 file and can be opened and edited using any standard midi software. This recording could
be the basis for a file used in a preset.
