To select (or change) a MIDI file, use the rotary dial to select the audio track contained in the bank. Once you find the
file you wish to playback, press
[SELECT]
to save it. Pressing
[UP]
or
[DOWN]
will move to another parameter. If you
have not saved your selection, it will remain unchanged. In general, MIDI files created by doing a MIDI CREATE within
the preset edit menu, will have a file name such as “B1_012.MID” This represents “B1” – BANK B (“B0” – BANK A) and
“_012” which represents preset #012 as the source of the MIDI create. “.MID” is an industry standard extension for MID
Type 0,1 and 2 files. Liquid Tracks records in the industry standard Type 0 format.
You can begin playback to sample your select by pressing [
HOLD SELECT
]. Press [
SELECT
] to stop playback. Playing
back a sample will begin an audio file as well as the chosen MIDI file.
Press [
HOLD RIGHT
] to save the MIDI File Name as the Preset Name.
Setting a Different MIDI Tempo
By default, the tempo of a recorded MIDI sequence is either (120BPM) or whatever coding is placed within a MIDI file.
There maybe a reason to modify the playback tempo by overriding the encoded tempo of a MIDI file. In most
circumstances, you will leave the MIDI BPM to OFF, which will essentially use the default settings found in the playing
MIDI file.
If you have a specific BPM you would like your MIDI file to playback, you can choose a new tempo between 40-‐250BPM.
Use the rotary dial to select the value and press
[SELECT]
to save the change.
