3.16. Protection
FT68200 series load provides following protections:

Overvoltage protection
 Overcurrent protection
 Overpower protection
 Overtemperature protection
 Input Reverse Connection protection
 Low voltage protection
 Communication Timed Out protection
When a protection occurs, the load will turn off the loading, sound an alarm, and display a
corresponding error message.
Press (PROT_CLR) can clear the protection state and error message.
Overvoltage Protection
The load provides two types of overvoltage protection: hardware overvoltage and
software overvoltage.
 Hardware over-voltage protection: When the input voltage exceeds 105% of the
rated voltage of the load, the hardware over-voltage protection will be triggered
and the screen will prompt "OV".

Software over-voltage protection: The load provides the option of “OVP” for
users to set and use. For related configuration refer to the protection setting in
“Set Menu Configuration”. Set to 0 means to turn off the software over-voltage
protection. When the input voltage exceeds the "OVP" setting value, the software
overvoltage protection will be triggered and the screen will prompt "OVP".
Overcurent Protection
The load provides two types of overcurrent protection: hardware overcurrent and
software overcurrent.
 Hardware over-current protection: When the input current exceeds 110% of the
load's rated current, the hardware over-current protection will be triggered and
the screen will prompt "OC".
 Software overcurrent protection: The load provides the option of "OCP" for users
to set and use. For related configuration items, refer to the protection settings in
"Set Menu Configuration". Set to 0 means to turn off the software overcurrent
protection. When the input current exceeds the "OCP" setting value, the software
overcurrent protection will be triggered and the screen will prompt "OCP".
