Removing and fitting the
housing cover
Removing
•
Remove the housing cover of the flow
cell. To do this, press both unlocking but-
tons (A) on the top of the housing and
carefully remove the cover toward the
front.
Fitting
Fit and engage the housing cover of the flow
cell. To do this, position the housing cover at
the bottom and carefully press it upward until
the housing cover engages on the unlocking
buttons.

Installing the optional strainer
1 Release the screw joint on the sample
water inlet with shut-off ball valve (A)
(threaded connection G 1/2” A).
2 Connect strainer with pipe clamp (B).
3 Connect sample water inlet (C).

Connecting the sample water
inlet
When connecting the sample water inlet,
observe the following:
•
Do not install water carrying lines made of
copper. These would distort the measure-
ments.
•
Sample water inlets are classified accor-
ding to whether they have a hose connec-
tion or are fitted with rigid piping.
•
Select the sample water extraction point
that guarantees a proper mixture of disin-
fectant and a bubble-free sample water
flow.
•
To prevent long loop dead times, ensure
that the lines in the sample water inlet are
as short as possible and do not have a
large line cross-section. Long measuring
dead times mean poorer control quality!
•
The pressure in the sample water inlet
must always be within a range of 0.25 to
3.0 bar. The pressure in the sample water
inlet must generally be 0.25 bar higher
than in the sample water outlet.
•
At an admission pressure below 0.25 bar,
an optional pressure booster pump must
be used (chapter 4.10).
•
If the admission pressure exceeds 3.0 bar,
an optional pressure reducing valve must
be used (chapter 4.10).
•
To protect the flow cell against contami-
nation, an optional strainer with a mesh
width of 0.02“ (0.5 mm) should be provi-
ded on the sample water inlet (chapter
4.7).
