Issue 4.5 August 2005
Nodes 5-31
VAL:
Valid signal normally used to connect to green or valid LED as reader
VOI:
Void signal normally used to connect to red or void LED as reader
+12V:
+12V power connection. Some readers require 12V power instead of 5V power. See manufacturers reader
specifications for details on power requirements.
햿
BCD PINPads
Only one BCD PINPad can be connected to each node.
헀
Back Tamper
(for future use)
Remove link and connect back tamper
switch to terminals marked BT, as illustrated in the diagram.
헁
Exit Reader Card Connection
An
exit card reader
must be used in order to
install exit readers on the 3GS system. The card must be fitted to the ACN at the
exit reader card connection. The reader itself is then connected to the card via
the terminal connectors. There are two exit reader connections on each ACN allowing for entry and exit readers
on both doors. See
Access System Overview
in
3GS Programming
for more information on the use of exit reader
cards
.
An exit reader card connection is not required for enhanced access nodes.
헂
Exit Switch (NC)
If required, switches may be fitted that allow the doors to be
unlocked.
헃
Door Inputs
The ACN has two on-board door inputs. These door inputs are moni-
tored using dual EOL supervision as wired in the following illustration. They are used
for integration of access control and intruder by assigning zone types to them. See
Access System Overview
in
3GS Programming
for further information on integration.
