Write down the error message and notify an
appropriate election official. If possible,
shutdown and then turn off the Scanner. Wait 30
seconds and then turn the Scanner back on. If
the problem persists, a an ES&S Service
Technician will need to be contacted.

1009002 - The
connection was refused
by the MCP.

This message appears when the Master
Control Program will not accept a
connection to the User Interface.

Write down the error message and notify an
appropriate election official. If possible,
shutdown and then turn off the Scanner. Wait 30
seconds and then turn the Scanner back on. If
the problem persists, an ES&S Service Technician
will need to be contacted.

1009003 - The MCP
closed the connection.

Control Program terminates its
connection with the User Interface.

Write down the error message and notify an
appropriate election official. If possible,
shutdown and then turn off the Scanner. Wait 30

message server was
unable to be started.

Property Bank Message Server for the
User Interface.
