2.15.2 Safety Switch

This is the thermal switch for overheat protection installed on the lamp inner housing.
If overheat condition is caused by the contamination of the exhaust fan, normally the
lamp thermistor (listed in 2.13.4) temporarily shuts off the supply of AC power to
protect it from overheat. The safety switch is installed, considering the lamp thermistor
trouble in overheat condition.

To the safety switch the power supply unit cable with fasten tab is connected. When
the temperature rises to certain degrees, every regulating operations of the power
supply unit are stopped and power is shut off. This switch runs once, you can not start
up the power, before the temperature falls to certain degrees. In this case, you must
also consider the lamp thermistor trouble or the CD10MA board trouble.
