2.3 DESCRIPTION OF THE MAIN MODULES
The analyzer consists mainly of:
−
A + 5 V, a - 15 V, and a + 15 V cut-out power supply located in the lower part of the box,
−
An optical bench with temperature regulation, consisting of:
•
An infrared source,
•
A correlation wheel,
•
An additional wheel equipped with optical filters for the NH
3
/ H
2
O option
•
A multireflection measurement chamber,
•
An infrared detector.
−
Multiparameter management electronics: a motherboard on which the automaton microprocessor
board and the analog output boards are plugged in,
−
A LCD microprocessor board for the management of parameters, LCD display and serial output
board,
−
An intake pump (replaced, in the NH
3
/ H
2
O option, by an ejector),
−
A solenoid valve unit (does not exist any longer in the NH
3
/ H
2
O version),
−
a flowmeter
−
a pressure sensor
The two 3-way solenoid valves enable the selection of one of the three gas inlets of the analyzer:
•
zero air,
•
span gas,
•
sample,
which are taken in by the pump located at the beginning of the system.
After filtering, the gaseous sample is channelled directly to the measurement chamber. The sample
intake system ensures a limited flow of 20 l/h in the case of Sec probe sampling, or 60 l/h for dilution
unit.
