DISPLAY CAUSE POSSIBLE ACTIONS
– The gains of the measurement
channels are important, the
measurement is noisy.
– Control the adjustment of the clamp
and the setting of the sampling
(cf. Adjustment and inspection of the
motherboard)
– The signals can also be visualized in
PT0 on the motherboard and
compared to the pictures in the
control documents. In the case of
important gains:
– A: failure of the IR source, see IR
Source Supply Alarm. The IR source
may be faulty without displaying the
IR Source Supply Alarm message.
–
B: failure of the detector, check the
J7, and J8 connections. Change the
detector and re-start the amplification
chain if the signals are correct in Pt 0.
– C: problem in the Optical Bench.

Ratio check Rx
– The ratio of the signals (of the gains
for the NH
3
/ H
2
O version) is outside
the limits programmed for the X
parameter.
– After a Zero Reference, check in Zero
mode the signals and gains (“ Tests /
Optical Bench” ) menu. Calculate
the new wheel ratio as shown below:

In the “Software / Channels Setting”
menu, select the
X parameter (R x
ratio).
Modify the “Wheel Ratio” parameter
to its new value.
Re-make a zero reference.
– The Rx ratio on the H
2
O channel (the
weakest signal measurement) is
linked to a fault of the MDS dryer or
to a leak in the air zero circuit.
– Check the Silicagel. A green colour
indicates a fault in the MDS dryer.
– Check the tightness of the air zero.
– An Rx ratio on a double wavelength
measurement channel is linked to
ageing of the IR source, of the
detector or to dirt of the optical filters
or of the Optical Bench (gas: SO
2
,
CO
2
, HC, HF).
– Make a control of the metrological
parameters (cf. Maintenance sheet)
at frequent intervals (1 week).

If necessary, change the IR source
and restart the amplification chain.
– Consult us if the problem arises at
regular intervals.
