Disassembling the optical bench (Figure 6.3)
•
Switch off the analyzer.
•
Remove the cap from the optical compartment.
•
Disconnect the connectors J3-J7-J8-J9-J12-J13-J14-J16-J17-J20.
•
Loosen the 2 knurled fastening screws and remove the clamp.
•
Free the measurement chamber from the optical compartment and disconnect the 2

tubes. Carefully mark their respective positions.

•
Switch off the analyzer.
•
Remove the cap from the optical compartment.
•
Loosen the fastenings of the measurement chamber.
•
Disconnect the J13 and J14 connectors and the connections between the optical forks
and the stepping motor control from the IR source block. It can be necessary to
disconnect additional connectors.
•
Free the measurement chamber from the optical compartment, but not completely.
•
Loosen the 4 knurled fastening screws from the IR source block and remove the latter.

Replacing the motor
•
Loosen the 4 screws (4) to remove the source block unit.
•
Remove the driving belt (9).
•
Loosen the 2 screws (7) and remove the pulley (8).
•
Loosen the 2 screws (6) and remove the motor (5).

Adjusting the motor rotation speed
•
Re-assemble the optical bench and switch on the analyzer.
•
Select the “Measurement / Synoptic” or “Tests / Optical Bench” menu.
•
Adjust the speed to the value indicated in the production control documents, using the
potentiometer P12.
NOTE : We advise you to check the signals and particularly the sample positioning (see
5.2 and 5.3 for the NH
3
/ H
2
O MIR version).
ATTENTION : Before replacing the motor, be careful to correctly wire the J13
connector of the motor, as it is indicated in the here-below picture.
