Mount the measuring device with the shutoff device below or at the same level as the
tapping point.

• Always mount the measuring device below the lowest measuring point
• Do not install the measuring device at the following positions:
• In the filling curtain
• In the tank outlet
• In the suction area of a pump
• At a point in the tank which could be affected by pressure pulses from the agitator
• Mount the measuring device downstream from a shutoff device: the calibration and
function check can be carried out more easily
5.2.5
Thermal insulation with diaphragm seal directly mounted
The measuring device may only be insulated up to a certain height. The maximum
permitted insulation height is indicated on the measuring device and applies to an
insulation material with a heat conductivity ≤ 0.04 W/(m x K) and to the maximum
permitted ambient and process temperature. The data were determined under the most
critical application "quiescent air". Maximum permitted insulation height, here indicated on
a measuring device with a flange:
