Installation and use MR16
To remove a remote control
1. Make sure that DIP switches A1 and A2 of radio module MR16 are both to OFF. Should they not be,
set them to OFF.
2. Set DIP switch A1 to OFF and DIP switch A2 to ON.
3. Press three times control pushbutton on radio module MR16. Radio module sends out 3 beeps and
LEDs

go on steady, indicating that you entered removal mode.
4. Keep pressed for 3 seconds control pushbutton on radio module MR16. Radio module sends out 3
beeps and LEDs
A
and
B
blink once to indicate that it is ready to remove a remote control.
5. Press control pushbutton more times to select the device to be removed: associated LED starts
blinking.
6. Keep pressed control pushbutton for 3 seconds to confirm your choice; radio module sends out three
beeps to confirm removal.
7. Repeat from point 5 to remove more devices.
8. Reset DIP switch A2 to OFF to quit removal mode; radio module will send out one two-tone beep to
confirm the output.
To remove all devices
To remove all
devices (micro contacts, IR detectors, sirens and remote controls):
1. Make sure that DIP switches A1 and A2 of radio module MR16 are both to OFF. Should they not be,
set them to OFF.
2. Set DIP switch A1 to ON and DIP switch A2 to OFF.
3. Press once control pushbutton on radio module MR16. Radio module sends out 3 beeps and all
LEDs, go on steady, indicating that you entered global removal mode.
4. Keep pressed for 3 seconds control pushbutton on radio module MR16. Radio module sends out 3
beeps and all LEDs go off to indicate that all acquired devices were removed.
5. Reset DIP switch A1 to OFF to quit removal mode; radio module will send out one two-tone beep to
confirm the output.
6.1.3 Replacing a device
To replace a device, first remove old device from radio module MR16, then acquire new device.
6.2 REPLACING BATTERIES
Batteries warned about with low charge must be replaced by similar ones, in order not to impair system
correct operation.
To replace batteries to a wireless device:
1. in the case of a siren, set DIP switch B7 on radio module MR16 to ON to inhibit tamper.
2. Open the device the batteries must be replaced to. About this, see paragraphs
6.2.1

3. Take off exhausted batteries (the batteries of sirens are in a container with cover).
4. Discharge the device:
•
pressing twice micro contact tamper, IR detector and outdoor siren;
•
waiting for 1 minute with indoor siren;
•
pressing twice any key by remote control.
5. Add the new batteries, paying attention to polarities.
6. Close back the device.
7. in the case of a siren, set DIP switch B7 on radio module MR16 to OFF again.
WARNING:
Battery disposal is ruled by precise law provisions to be given to special
collection centres.
