There are a few rules that must be respected for
reversing or replacing the blades. The blade shaft
has been divided into two groups for the logics of
these rules:
Blade group 1:
The two farthest blade disks be-
long to this group.

Blade group 2:
This group contains 4 blade disks
that are enclosed in-between the two farthest
blade disks.

Each blade has two sides (fi gure)
Front side (F): The side with the chamfered cutting edge.
Rear side (B): Side with the clearly visible teeth profi le.
A Reversing the blades of group 1
Rule:
Ensure that the blades from blade group 1 are always facing with their rear side (B)
towards the side walls of the shredding chamber.
Perform the following steps to consistently apply this rule:
• Remove a knife from the left-hand side, rotate it
through 180° and fi t it in the same position, but to the
right-hand disk. Rotate (180°) the blade previously
removed from the right-hand blade disk, and fi t it in the
empty space in the left-hand blade disk. Repeat this
procedure for each blade (8 x) of group 1.
• Always clean the blades and blade holders before rein-
stalling them.
