00 Title
Before starting any maintenance or deinstallation operations, make sure that the system has been switched
off, and that the AC line external main switch has been set to off.
The EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) (Directive 2012/19/EU) establishes
common rules on the management of electrical and electronic equipment and minimize its impact — from
design until disposal — on the environment. As a manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment, Eaton
actively supports the requirements of the WEEE Directive.
In compliance with the EU standard EN 50419 for marking of electrical and electronic equipment, we include
the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on our products. This symbol alerts users that these products should
be recycled in accordance with local environmental regulations (and not discarded with household waste).
When end-users recycle WEEE they are helping to ensure that they are neither incinerated nor sent to
landfills, minimizing potential negative impact on human health and the environment.
Any device that is no longer needed must therefore be returned to the distributor or disposed to an
authorized collection and recycling center in the area. Eaton encourages all our customers and end users to
make responsible decisions when it comes to disposing products.
Eaton is not responsible for the logistic transportation from the end-user house to the recycling center.
Wait at least 10 min. before removing the xStorage Home 3P system from the wall.
The inverter enclosure could overheat during its operation and cause burns by contact.
Do not carry out other operations on the inverter for at least 10 minutes. The inverter contains capacitors
that need a minimum time to discharge.
Batteries produce electricity and can cause electric shock or fire in the event of a short circuit or incorrect
installation.
The conductors from the solar panels are always live. The voltage from a string of solar panels can reach
1000 V!
Disconnect the battery cable connectors from the BAT inputs.
Disconnect the DC connectors of the photovoltaic panel strings from the inputs PV1 and PV2.
Open the connection compartment by removing the fixing screws.
Disconnect the AC GRID and EPS (if present) conductors.
Disconnect the communication wires and external controls where present
The xStorage Home 3P can now be removed for disposal or repair.

When the xStorage Home system reaches the end of its service life, the end user should contact an Eaton
certified installer for disposal instructions.
