Replacing an SM65 mounted in a slider magazine
Before you start, you need
•
A PC with the DCTools software installed.
•
A copy of the appropriate SM65 configuration file, which can be one of the following -
the old configuration file, a backed-up configuration file or a modified default
configuration file.
•
A null modem cable.
Step 1 - Set any LVD controllers to Manual Connect
To prevent an accidental operation of an LVD contactor (and disconnection of
the battery or load equipment) set any LVD controllers to M
anual Connect .

Refer to the DC power system Installation Guide for information on how to set
the LVD Auto/Manual selector switch.
Step 2 - Withdraw the old SM65 from the rack

Loosen the locking screw.

Press the two latches and pull the SM65 out.
