Installation Considerations
The UPS system installation must meet the following guidelines:
l
The system must be installed on a level floor suitable for computer or electronic equipment.
l
The system must be installed in a temperature and humidity controlled indoor area free of conductive
contaminants.
Failure to follow guidelines may void your warranty.
The UPS equipment operating environment must meet the weight requirements shown in Table 3-1 and the
size requirements shown in Figure 3-1 through Figure 3-14. Dimensions are in millimeters (inches).
Table 3-1 does not include the weight of the Field Installed UPM (FI-UPM). For Field Installed UPM (FI-UPM)
weights and dimensions, refer to the
Eaton 9395 Field Installed UPM Mechanical Installation Manual
, listed in
Table 3-1 Includes the weights of the heaviest cabinet configuration. Actual weights may be less due to
installed configuration. Weights are in kilograms (pounds).
The UPS cabinets use forced air cooling to regulate internal component temperature. Air inlets are in the front
of the cabinet and outlets are in the top. Allow clearance in front of and above each cabinet for proper air
circulation. The clearances required around the UPS cabinet are shown in Table 3-2. Dimensions are in
millimeters (inches).
The basic environmental requirements for operation of the UPS are:
l
Ambient Temperature Range: 0–40ºC (32–104ºF)
l
Recommended Operating Range: 20–25ºC (68–77ºF)
l
Maximum Relative Humidity: 95%, non-condensing
