You can receive mail and Messages R/F even when i-

ppli is being launched or running. i-

ppli will continue to run and the icon

” will be displayed. To check mail or messages you have received, close i-

ppli or use the Multitask function.

When software is running, melodies will be played at the volume set for “Phone” of “Ring volume”. However, melodies are not played

during a call.

●

You may need to set the communications setting while the software is running.

●

If a call comes in while i-

ppli is running, i-

ppli will be interrupted temporarily. The i-

ppli display returns when you end the call.

●

With some software you can use the Web To function and the Phone To/AV Phone To function from i-

ppli. However, you cannot use

the Web To function from the i-

ppli Stand-by display.

●

If i-motion movie (video and sound data) is played back when i-

ppli is running, see page 365 for operation instructions. The i-

ppli

display returns when you cancel playback.

●

If you launch a camera from i-

ppli, the shot images are not saved with ordinary images but saved as part of i-

ppli for its usage.

●

If you launch a camera from i-

ppli, you can specify the image size or image quality for some i-

ppli programs.

●

You can use the camera from i-

ppli and scan QR codes and JAN codes. The scanned data is saved and used by the software.

●

ppli may not be displayed correctly.

At i-

ppli launch, the confirmation display might appear asking whether to upgrade the software to the latest one. Select “YES” and

to upgrade the software. (See page 324)

Some i-

ppli programs save the various information used for i-

ppli programs when you finish them. However, the information might

not be saved if the battery alarm sounds or the battery pack is removed while i-

ppli is running. If the battery level indicates “

ppli in accordance with the instructions from each software.

Some IPs (Information Providers) may access the software stored in your mobile phone and have directly that software suspended,

depending on the software. In that case, you will not be able to launch or update the software, or use it for the Stand-by display. You

can delete the software or display the software information. To use the software again, you need to receive the transmission to

release the software suspension. Contact the IP (Information Provider) to inquire about that.

Some IPs (Information Providers) might send data to the software stored in your mobile phone depending on the software.

When the IP (Information Provider) requests to halt or re-open the software or sends data to the software, the mobile phone
