14.2 CONNECTION VIA INTRANET
This type of connection will allow you to access the programmable controller from any PC connected to the
network. Enter the address of the server into the Browser bar, memorise this address in favourites.
The connection to the local network must be managed by qualified staff and the network administrator, who
must firstly assign an IP number to the iPro.CHILL (an example could be
http://192.168.000.111
)
WARNING: An automatic procedure will guide you through configuration. Make sure that you have an IP
number available before switching the unit on.
To connect the server to the network use a standard
UTP – CAT5
cable (Dixell code CAB/WEB/NET)
14.3 CONNECTION VIA INTERNET
This type of connection will allow you to access the programmable controller from any PC connected to the
network. Enter the address of the server into the Browser bar, memorise this address in favourites.
For the direct connection to internet a static IP number is necessary. This is normally assigned by the ISP
(Internet service provider)
This type of connection will allow you to access the iPro.CHILL from any PC connected to internet. Enter the
address of the server into the Browser bar, memorise this address in favourites.
Ask your ISP for all details inherent the supply contract for the access to internet with a static IP, the
minimum system requisites are the following:
•
Broad band connection (ADSL, etc…)
•
At least one static IP available for iPro.CHILL
The connection to internet is guaranteed by the presence of a device called Router. This unit analyses the
network traffic generated by the server and on the basis of its destination, sorts it on the company network
(Intranet) or sends it directly towards the remote customer on Internet. Pay attention to the fact that the
Router normally requires an IP address.
The iPro.CHILL default IP address is:
192.168.0.250
Depending on the type of contract the provider can supply the router or the customer can purchase it
separately.
WARNING: the router must be installed by qualified staff, making reference to the following information:
ports to remap from the router to the IP address of iPro.CHILL on the LAN side:
•
80 (used for HTTP accesses)
•
22 (used for SSH connections)
•
1131 (for ISaGRAF workbench)
•
6666 (used for remote updating)
On the internet side:
•
HTTP (for web access of the XWEB 500 server)
To connect the iPro.CHILL to the network use a standard
