USER MANUAL – Release 1.2 of 01/01/2010
Page 107 of 191
Version: 02/03/2010
WARNING
If a configuration is used of the continuous insertion partialisations management with direct or reverse action,
in the case of 50% or 75% or 100% call, the 25% valve is forced to allow working of the other partialisation
steps.
28.1 START-UP WITH PARTIALISED COMPRESSOR / IDLE START-UP
Par. CO09
enabling of minimum capacity working according to the type of compressor used.
It allows the management of the relay output configured as compressor partialisation n° 1, which is used for
a compressor partialised start-up (alternative) or a compressor idle start-up (screw).
Using this parameter it is possible to decide if the partialisation with lower index in configuration
(partialisation n° 1 of the compressor normally 25%) can be used for a minimum capacity start-up (partialised
start-up/idle start-up) and by temperature control or if only used for a minimum capacity start-up (partialised
start-up/idle start-up) and never as a partialisation step in normal working conditions.
EXAMPLE
If compressor 1 is configured with three partialisations with
CO09=0
, on start-up compressor partialisation n°
1 is activated for time CO15, on the expiry of which it is unexcited and not considered as a partialisation
step. The time CO15 is reloaded ever time the compressor is switched-off.
If compressor 1 is configured with three partialisations with
CO09=1
on start-up compressor partialisation n°
1 remains activated for time CO15. If after time CO15 if temperature control requests, it remains excited and
in working is considered as a step in temperature control. The time CO15 is reloaded ever time the
compressor is switched-off.
EXAMPLE WITH SCREW COMPRESSORS
If compressor 1 is configured with three partialisations with
CO09=2
the compressor partialisation n° 1, with
compressor off is always activated (it allows the compressor to start in minimum load conditions). On start-up
it remains active for CO15 after which it is unexcited and not considered as a partialisation step. The time
CO15 is reloaded ever time the compressor is switched-off.
If compressor 1 is configured with three partialisations with
CO09=3
the compressor partialisation n° 1, with
compressor off is always activated (it allows the compressor to start in minimum load conditions). On start-up
it remains active for CO15. If after time CO15 if temperature control requests, it remains excited and in
working is considered as a step in temperature control. The time CO15 is reloaded ever time the compressor
is switched-off.
28.2 GAS BY-PASS VALVE FUNCTION ON COMPRESSOR START-UP
Allows to manage any valve outside of the compressor prepared for "idle" start-up in parallel to the
partialisation valve already present in the compressor.
Valve switch-on time for compressor start-up gas by-pass.
The function is enabled if CO15 is different to 0 and at least on relay is configured as a compressor 1 or 2 or
3 or 4 start-up by-pass valve.
Working: the relay goes to ON at every temperature control call 1 (fixed time we set) first according to
compressor switch-on and goes to OFF after the time set in Par. CO15.
The time CO15 is reloaded ever time the compressor is switched-off.
28.3 INTERMITTENT VALVE FUNCTION FOR SCREW COMPRESSORS
This type of regulation is particularly suitable in systems with great thermic inertia, e.g. in indirect cooling. A
typical application example is the coolings (liquid refrigerators). The working of this valve seems only to be
used by Bitzer.
If configured the output goes to ON together with compressor switch-on (in the case of part winding or star
delta with activation of the first relay) for the time set in Par. CO10 is in OFF for the time set in the Par. CO11
in intermittent working until the compressor switches-off.
WARNING: even if the intermittence function is configured, it is only enabled if the ON time is
different to 0.
