NETWORK
Network Setup allows the user to adjust settings such as ports and transport rate, setup PPP information for use with the Emergency Agent
software, and enable remote access.
1.
Disable Remote Controls
Enable/Disable remote access and control of the NVR.
2.
View IP Address
View IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS server address information of the NVR.
3.
Network Setup
View and modify all information necessary for setting remote access to the NVR:
a)
Time-Out Value
When attempting to connect to the NVR, the connection will be
terminated if the connection does not succeed during the TimeOut
Value (seconds).
b)
Emergency Port
Used to connect to the Alarm Monitor software.
c)
Center Port
Used to connect to the Digital Watchdog Remote Software. This port
must be specified in the Remote Software to connect to the NVR.
Note: Center Port 1025 is not available for remote connections. It is
used by the ATI VGA Management Suite.
d)
Image Port
Used to transfer video(s) to the Digital Watchdog Remote Software.
e)
Search Port
Used to transfer search information to the Digital Watchdog Remote
Software. Note: If connecting to the NVR through a firewall, the
above ports must be open to incoming and outgoing traffic.

PPPoE Setup
Recommended for Emergency Agent Setup.
5.
Transport Rate
This is essentially a bandwidth throttle. The option is based on percentages of images sent or free
network. These settings affect the quality and speed of the video that is sent to the remote clients.
