Power Verification and Addressing (PVA)

4–12 UltraSCSI RAID Enclosure

Table 4–7 Installing a PVA

1. Remove the PVA from the shipping container and verify that it is a

model DS–BA35X–EC.

2. Align the PVA with the right hand slot.

CXO5754A

EMU

PVA

3. Insert the PVA into the slot and push it in until the extractor latches

engage the enclosure.

4. Push in on the extractor latches to firmly seat the PVA.

5. Ensure that the enclosure address setting on the thumbwheel switch

is valid for the enclosure.

6. After installing all the components, apply power to the enclosure and

start the subsystem.
