AT Commands F-61
AT Commands
&Y
n Designate Default User Profile
Selects user profile n (where n = 0 to 3). (Default is 0).
Designates which of four user profiles loads into active configuration at power up,
reset, or when DTR drops when &D3 is set. The modem saves this command
immediately after you enter it; you do not have to enter &W or *W. Also, when you
enter &F, this command does not change.
See also the &W, *W, and Z commands
NOTE
The &Y setting takes effect immediately. When you reset or power up the modem,
it restores the last user profile setting selected.
Z
n Reset
Resets user profile n (where n = 0 to 3).
Hangs up the telephone line; clears the modem and serial port buffers; and when you
enter the next AT command sets the parity and bps rate to match the local computer.
Also, restores commands and registers that you last saved with either the &W or *W
command, or the factory defaults if you have not entered an &W or *W.
To reset the modem, type: ATZn (where n = 0 to 3).
If the OK response does not appear, type ATQ to enable result codes.
See also the &W, *W, and &Y commands.
&Z
n=<dial string> Write Stored Telephone Number
Where n is a directory position from 01 to 40 and <dial string> is a string of up to 39
characters. Valid dial string characters are: 0-9, dial modifiers, and for tone dialing A,
B, C, D, #, and *. Dial strings longer than 39 characters return an error message. The
modem ignores invalid characters.
Stores a telephone number in position n of the modem’s telephone directory. When
entering a stored number with the &Zn= command you can use any dial modifiers
available with the Dial command. The &Zn= command must be the last command on
a command line.
