RS-485 Modbus Communication
All models of the HS-7000 Series are provided with 2 RS-485 Modbus communication ports,
RTU binary mode. The two ports share the same communication address, however, they may
have different speed rate and action, as well as, can transmit and receive independently one
from the other.
For more detailes refer to COMMUNICATION MANUAL paragraph.
CONFIGURATION OF COMUNICATION PARAMETERS

Password of Communication Submenu
- To accede to the Configuration parameters, press until [0000] [PASS] are displayed.
- Introduce the Password correspondent to level 3 using or keys.
- Press , if the Password is valid, the access to Submenus [Auto] [Pid 1 ] [Pid 2 ] [Pid 3 ]
will be allowed, press until [Menu] [ConF ] are displayed
- Press , [0001] [CoAd] will be displayed, allowing the device address modification.
- Press to display [0022] [bAud] , to modify the communication speed rate.
- Press to display [tESt] [CoM] , to check the communication.
- To exit, press , until NORMAL DISPLAY.

Communication Address
[CoAd]
- Set the address of the instrument used in a communication network.
- The address is configurable in [??nn] [CoAd] and it is common to both ports.
- The factory setting address is 1 [??01] [COAD]
- The address is a Hexadecimal number between 1 and FF ( 1 to 255 in decimal).
- Introduce in [??nn] a hexadecimal number between [??01] (Address 1) and [??FF] (Address
255).

Communication Speed Rate
[bAud]
Allows to modify the speed rate , in bauds, of the device communication ´s port.
The speed rate set in factory is 38400 bauds for both ports

PORT COM 1 Configurable in [??n?] [bAud]
PORT COM 2 Configurable in [???n] [bAud]
Three options can be selected for each port.

TEST OF COMMUNICATIONS
[tESt] [CoM ]
Allows to check the operation of the communication ports of the device.
In [tESt] [COM ] press
The upper display will show [tESt] flickering, and the middle display will show
the symbols [rt ] r eception t ransmission alternatively for Port 1 and
identically igual for Port 2 in the lower display .
