5 Brief 

Description 

The Sequence Controller AST40 is a controller with integrated power electronics to 
operate Series 311 DEPRAG MINIMAT–EC-Servo screwdrivers. The torques, rotating 
speeds, waiting times and direction of rotation can be individually adapted to the screw 
assembly tasks within the performance range of the screwdrivers. 
 
Extensive operating options as well as programming, controller and documentation 
interfaces provide maximum flexibility during integration into existing process 
environments. The diversified communication possibilities involve I/O and various 
(optional) fieldbus interfaces as well as a 7 inch touch display and an integrated web 
server for the purpose of parameterization, saving data and displaying curves via Ethernet.  
All the usual screw processes are stored in the sequence controller in the form of basic 
programs. This means the system can be put into operation using just a few steps. All the 
functions required for this are provided in the web desktop and the touch display so that no 
additional software has to be installed. 
Comprehensive diagnostics help to identify errors in the screw process, on the MINIMAT–
EC-Servo screwdriver or in the sequence controller.
