Condensate pump
In cooling units, condensate may form and is collected in the coil condensate pan.
The condensate pump drains condensate into upstream drainage pipework
placed higher up in the system.
2.6.1 Function of condensate drain
The condensate pump is equipped with a float switch which performs the follow-
ing switching points:
1. Switching point:
–
Activates the pump when the pre-set water level in the condensate pan is
exceeded.
–
Switches the pump off if the condensate level falls below the minimum wa-
ter level.
2. Switching point:
–
Activates alarm message if the maximum allowed water level is exceeded.
Additional hygienic functions are used if a MATRIX 3500 control system is used
(control code D5.###.## on name plate) (see Chapter 2.10.1).
