16.1 Introduction

16.1.1 Introduction

The firmware update page allows you to upgrade the controller or display unit software.

Firmware updates are provided as .packet files from the DEIF homepage

http://www.deif.com

.

16.1.2 Installation prerequisites

CAUTION

The following prerequisites must be followed

before

attempting to install the firmware update.

INFO

If the firmware update fails, the controller rack needs to be powered off and on to clear the update attempt. You can
then attempt updating the firmware again.

For:

GENSET

EMERGENCY
genset controller

Prerequisites:

1. The breaker must be opened.
2. The engine must be stopped.
3. The controller must be under switchboard control.
