Manual Testing

5.1 Manual Mode Display

MANUAL MODE is entered from either the STARTUP menu or the AUTO MODE menu of ES601

Plus

.

This menu allows the user to select various types of individual electrical safety measurements such as
protective earth (ground resistance) or leakage current. The menu also provides access to a submenu for
manually operating the ECG simulator.

5.2 Clip Record

As safety measurements and other tests are performed with ES601

Plus

, the individual test results are

collected in a temporary area of memory which is designated the "

Clip Record

". When testing is complete and

results are saved, the contents of the Clip Record are copied to a "

Test Record

", which resides in non-volatile

or "flash" memory. When a Test Record is recalled from flash memory, the Record data is placed in the Clip
Record. The Clip Record is in volatile memory and any data stored in it will be lost if the power to
ES601

Plus

is interrupted before the Clip Record data is saved as a Test Record. Test Records saved in flash

memory are retained when power to ES601

Plus

is switched off.
