8.8.3.1 Selecting the Op Code

The Op Code defines what the Instruction does and which buttons are presented to the user on
ES601

Plus

display. Depending on the op code, the user may be required to enter a measurement

value or comment when that Instruction is encountered during the Test Procedure.

Options include:
• Pass/Fail (op code = 'P')
• OK Prompt (op code = 'K')
• Input Requested (op code = 'I')
• Data Entry With Pass/Fail (op code = 'E')
• Delay (op code = 'D')
• Tester Control (op code = 'C')
• Remote Control with User Data Entry (op code = 'R')
• Tester Measurement (op code = 'M')

Under the Op Code dropdown menu, select the desired op code. Depending on the op code, the
command will show a different number of text boxes which accept different kinds of data.

8.8.3.2 Selecting the Category

Category is used by ES601pc to select and sort Instructions based on description or intended
application. Categories are user-defined and associate the category name with an upper-case ASCII
letter. For example, the user can create a "Defib" Category and assign to this the letter 'D'. Using the
Autosequence Editor, Instructions can thereby be created or modified under the "Defib" category.
