The relay operates according to three parameters:
• break status (NC or NO),
• operating mode (MODE 1 or 2),
• alarm supervision in case of radio failure (RMSG_N or RMSG_Y).
Whatever the break status (NC or NO), there are two different tamper relay activation modes:
• Repeat mode,
• Combined mode.
5.4.1 Repeat Mode (MODE1)
In this mode, the output follows the tamper status of products (detectors, control devices,
receiver opening and removal).
This means that if one product is in tamper activation mode then the output indicates this status.
5.4.2 Combined Mode (MODE2):
In this mode, the output follows the tamper status of products (detectors, control devices,
receiver opening and removal), but it can also indicate other tamper activations. This means that
if a product triggers a tamper alarm, the output will also show this alarm. However, if another
tamper alarm is activated, a new pulse alarm cycle is generated.
5.4.3 Alarm for radio failure (RMSG _N or RMSG_Y):
It is possible to programme the receiver to activate tamper protection when it does not detect the
supervision message issued by the radio products (detector or control devices) within 2 hours.

5.5 Changing tamper relay operation
Tamper relay operation can be changed via the
“Programming” menu and the “Tamper output”
sub-menu in “Installation” mode

IMPORTANT: the tamper output is factory-programmed for “NC MODE2 RMSG_N” mode
(i.e. Normally Closed, Combined Mode, Radio failure alarm disabled).
