4.3.7 System Log Alarm Setting

Syslog, in

100AS-1

, can be used for security auditing (login) as well as generalized informational

(link down), analysis, and debugging (loop back) messages. The syslog function of

100AS-1

can be

used to integrate log data into a central repository.

Messages are assigned a priority/level (Emergency, Alert, Critical, Error, Warning, Notice, Info or
Debug) by

100AS-1

and then sent to remote syslog server. Remote log server configuration is

found in 4.4.2 Trap & Syslog.
