PROVISIONING VIA TEXT MENU
To configure, from the main menu, select <L> (Local Status and Configuration), then select <D>
(Device Status and Configuration). From this menu select <6> (Maximum OAMPDUs Size) and set
as follows.
3.7.2 OAM Mode
The OAM in 100AS-1 converter only works on fiber links. Both units on the fiber link must be CTC
Union 100AS-1 units. The OAM mode can be set to one of three choices: disabled, active or
passive. In the OAM scheme, the 'active' unit will provide the OAM configuration to 'passive' unit
during OAM discovery phase. If both units on the fiber link are set to 'active' mode, the one with
lower MAC address will become the active node and the higher MAC address unit will assume
passive mode.
To configure, from the main menu, select <L> (Local Status and Configuration), then select the
fiber port <1>. From this menu select <3> (OAM Mode) and set as follows.
