2.3 START-UP AND PROCESSING,
continued
10. Add liquid detergent or cleaning agent to the water as
it is cavitating.
NOTE: If a detergent metering system is provided as
a special option on your machine, detergent may be
supplied automatically.
Adding cleaning agent at this time will enhance the
efficiency of the mixing operation.
WARNING: Some cleaning agents are harmful or
toxic to human life when used improperly. Please
review the safety procedures in Section 1.3 with
EVERYONE using this console.
De-activate ultrasonics when they are not in use.
11. Turn on the pump.
An additional discussion of the Hot Air Dryer is also
provided in “Reference.”
NOTE:
All of the settings you perform at the time of initial
start-up will remain in effect each time the machine is re-
activated, until you deliberately change them to adjust or
change processes. Once you have achieved desired
settings, you may wish to take the handles off the flow
control ball valves to prevent re-adjustment, making the
handles accessible only to authorized supervisory
personnel.
LOOKING AHEAD:
If precise concentrations of
detergent are essential to the success of your cleaning
process, you should plan to utilize one of the standard
means of testing detergent concentration. Normal
evaporation (accelerated by heating the liquid) and other
processing factors may affect the concentration level, and
adjustments may be necessary from time to time.
