3.3 Residual risks

Risk of electrocution
- Risk of electrical
shock if you power the machine from an
electrical system not equipped with ground
connection.
Power the machine through a grounded electrical system.

Risk of electrocution
- Risk of electrical
shock if you access machine parts
protected by panels without first cutting
off electrical power.
The operator is not authorized to access the machine
parts protected by panels.
For the maintenance technician: before performing any
maintenance intervention, shut the machine off and
isolate it from the mains power system.

Dorsal/lumbar injuries
- Handling heavy
loads when moving the machine may cause
injuries.
Do not exceed the weight limits stated by the current
regulations in force (20 kg/44 lb for women, 25 kg/55 lb
for men).
Use appropriate lifting equipment.
The pumping group, under the heaviest conditions,
weighs from 4 to 4.5 kg maximum.

Risk of falling objects / crushing / injuries
- When positioning a mixing cup on the
scale plate or when docking/undocking the
pumping groups, there is a risk it may fall
onto the operator.
Position the mixing cup so that the whole base rests on
the scale plate.
Be careful not to accidentally drop a pumping group
when moving it from the storage rack to the dispensing
rack and viceversa.

Risk of crushing / entanglement - The
automatic movement of the carriage on
the sliding track may cause injuries.
The machine must be used by a single operator.
For safety resons, the scale and valve group carriage is
moved only when the safety door and the roll-bar are
closed.
In all cases, keep hands away from the dispensing area at
all times while the machine is operating.
Do not put your hand or fingers in the dock where there
is no pumping group in the dispensing rack.

Risk of exposure to laser beam
- The
barcode reader uses light sources which
can be potentially dangerous for the eyes.
If guards are removed, avoid staring at the light source.

Risk of poisoning and sensitization -
Fumes generated by the products used
may cause poisoning and/or sensitization
during machine cleaning and disposal
operations, and during bottle replacement
operations using the station provided.
Read the warnings reported in the Material Safety Data
Sheets of the products used. The MSDS must be provided
by the products manufacturer.
Keep the room suitably ventilated.
