3.5 Safety devices
In the working area, the machine is provided with:
• two
transparent fixed guards [A]
;
• a
transparent safety door [B]
(mobile sliding guard) controlled by
a safety microswitch;
• a
mobile guard [C]
(flap door) in the pumping group docking
area, in the dispensing rack (it prevents fingers to be accidentally
inserted);
• a
fixed guard [D]
in the pumping group docking area, in the
dispensing rack (it prevents fingers to be accidentally inserted).
When the door is opened during machine operation, power is cut off to
the carriage drive motor.
The valve open/close motor and pump drive motor are not cut off
when opening the door; they cannot be reached by the central work
position of the operator and therefore do not pose any danger.
When the door is closed, the safety microswitch enables the carriage
for movement.
Therefore the machine does not execute any carriage movement if
the safety door is not properly closed.
WARNING
Even though the roll-bar is not a proper safety device, in order to
ensure optimum operation,
the machine executes dispensing only
when the roll-bar in the dispensing rack is in closed and locked
position
(checked by microswitch).
The roll-bar is equipped with an electromagnetic lock that keeps
it closed during machine operation.
The electromagnetic lock is
released and therefore it will be possible to raise the roll-bar only
when the scale carriage is in the central free slot position.
DANGER
In the event of a breakdown of the safety devices, it is forbidden to
use components not provided by the manufacturer. In case of need,
contact only the service organization authorized by the manufacturer.
