Attention!
Use only numbers to configure your password to be able to operate the
ACom by remote control using a phone/MFV. Otherwise, you will not be able
to access the ACom since you cannot enter letters by using a telephone dial.

Important
You can only ever change one of the two passwords at any given time. If you
want to change the other password, too, you will have to open the dialogue
window again.
• In order to change the password, choose one of the options by clicking it.
• Enter a new password in the text box New password and confirm your entry in the
text box Verification :.
• Click OK to save the new password.
• Click Remove to delete the present password.
Entering a GSM-PIN
For a connection to be established via a GSM-modem, the valid PIN (Personal Identifica-
tion Number) of the SIM-card must be entered to prevent data abuse. You have to save
your PIN in the ACom for it to be transmitted to the GSM-modem when a connection is
established.
• Click on PIN to enter your PIN. A dialogue window will appear on your screen.
• Enter the number in the text box New PIN : and confirm your entry in the text box
Verification :.
• Click on Save to save the PIN that you just entered.
Access control
Any establishment of a connection to a protected ACom requires the password, no mat-
ter which side the call is coming from. You can, however, turn off the password protec-
tion for the case of an alarm. This is a useful step for unmanned alarm centres which are
accessed by the ACom via GSM- or modem connections. The connection will then be
established also with devices which are password protected.
• Click in the control box Disable Password protection on alarm to turn off the access
restriction in the case of an alarm.
Other Settings
You can set the internal calendar clock of the ACom by taking over the system time of
the computer. The present ACom time is displayed in the text field. For prompt and easy
identification, you may assign a name and an identification number (ID) to the ACom.
